Have not smelt the original so cannot compare, but very nice smells alot like Cacharels Gloria another discontinued perfume selling for ridiculous prices on silly Bay, save your money and try this.

Beautiful copy of the original,strong smell of roses but still a masculine due to aoud. Sillage and projection good. Highly recommended.

Smells lovely for about an hr then starts to smell of chlorine, had to wash it off, awful. Own a lot of PP perfumes and all good so far, don't know what happened to this one!!

Though not listed smells of cloves when first applied, this last for about half hr along with the strong smell of amber, takes a while for the vanilla to emerge but mainly this is a strong Amber fragrance, pretty linear with not much else going on. But like is says on the bottle "Absolutely Amber"

Update on my previous review. Wore this side by side with the original formula and there is a slight difference between them, the original is softer, real mysore sandalwood is creamier than the synthetic sandalwood used in todays version of Samsara. But when worn side by side with todays edt version this is virtually spot on. The BIG difference though is that PPs version last longer than the vintage and reformulated, so if your looking for more bang for your buck go for the PP version. Stronger and last on the skin for about 6 to 8hrs as opposed to 2 to 4 of the original.

Dont know many times I can say this, running out of adjectives, this has got to be one of the most beautiful perfumes in the world and I have over 100 vintage perfumes. Have purchased it for everyone of my close friends and family they all love it and usually they moan about the amount of perfume I wear and buy, but not this one they all want it, which is great for me because I get to smell it all the time. Yes it does smell like tobacco BUT not like an old ashtray, it smells of sweet tobacco cigars and the most beautiful bourbon vanilla with a little smoky incense added to the mix. Not for those who shy away from unusual perfumes. Very strong last on the skin a good 12hrs and clothes until you wash them. Would give it 10 stars if i could.

WOW this is an absolute beauty, dont be put off by the name OUD it has been subtle done here not the sharp medicinal smell that you usually get with OUD more of an incense and then lots of yummy vanilla, much like the original. Well done PP

So glad I tried your version before forking out £50 on ebay, this is EXACTLY like the original, a powerhouse of a fragrance, be carefully with this one. More suited to man extremely strong.
