Smells like rose water. No hint of oud whatsoever. Not much like the original gold oud. More like rose oud.

Not quite right. The resinous pines come through a bit like swett peppermint. Perfectly pleasant and wearable, but not quite a match.

At application, I actually like this a bit more than the original. The mint is more noticeable. However, it takes about an hour before it actually smells much like Le Jardin de Monsieur Li. The scent itself is not that close even though it is quite pleasant, and the projection is much softer than the original.

Starts off sour, then fades to woody skin scent. This is subtle - hence the three stars!, nice enough, I just prefer stronger , more detectable smells.
