I have PP’s original version of Aventis, the new smoky version, and this fruity version. I must say, this fruity version is not great. As Gentscents, correctly noted, it has a sour smell to it. I had my wife smell this version, and her first reaction was “yuck!”. After she smelled it a little more she said, it wasn’t bad but wasn’t as good as the other two. This one had sort of a gasoline smell to it, and I would have to agree. My recommendation is buy PP’s other version of Aventis or buy a different clone like CDNI or L’adventure.

This is a good scent, but its not completely like the original. The original is fuller and well-blended with a little more incent. The PP verision is sweeter and not as well-blended. In the dry downs they do become closer but still slightly different. Good clone for the money, but it can’t replace the original.

This is a good scent, but not quite like the original. This scent is 90% like the original. The original is a little brighter and airer, while this version is more dense. Both are quite soapy and nice, but the original is more wearable for all-seasons.

While this is a good scent it smells nothing like the original. Actually, the notes on this are for the women’s version, not the men’s. Hopefullly, they fix this in the future because I was looking forward to the men’s version.

I love PP but this one is NOTHING like the original. I tested the original alongside the PP version and they are completely different. Sorry PP.
