This is a great fragrance for fall winter or spring. first five minutes is a sharp + bright lavender, I could see some people thinking it is too bright and somewhat harsh during first 5 minutes, especially if worn around summer time --fortunately after 5 minutes the sharpness goes away completely + it evolves into a soapy, creamy, + musky/woody lavender, smelling like a good quality shaving cream / aftershave. Personally I love the smell of shaving cream (rive gauche has been a holy grail for years) and I love this one. It bears slight resemblance to platinum egoiste, just somewhere in the base of it... the top end / detail resembles more of a soapy, purple foamy shaving soap vibe rather than the bitter green + herbal/ complex woody musk of platinum Egoiste. This one is very simplistic but it has such a charm , it really is one that goes from one thing and gets exponentially better during the first hour, very much so, to the point it kind of blows my mind

Beauty. Anyone wanting the smell of MI should go for this one. "Unforgivable" and the rest have got nothing on this, those ones usually have this gritty /vitamin / pee - note , this one actually does it correctly. God I wish I started ordering these a couple years back when I first became interested
