A perfume journey. For me the first blast is sweet lemon meringue, then on through turkish delight with a chocolatey note which becomes darker and earthier. The rose is lovely and spicy and deep by the drydown, and there are so many notes which are not actually there ...lemon, chocolate, wine .... such interesting and clever blending. Cafe Rose's evil twin...

This is interesting. I think I will have to spend some time with it before I decide how much I like it .... but I DO like it. The opening is a greasy ylang, very strong and oily sweet, almost Samsara like, but then turns away to something far less sweet and heavy. Strangely, the smell feels like it's half hidden behind a taut plasticky cover ... there is something very unfamiliar about it, but I'm curious, fascinated even, and will give it time.

Strong, deep woody smell, which softens and sweetens as it warms on the skin. This is lovely. I will use it a lot on it's own, and to sharpen and intensify softer fruity scents when the mood dictates. Definitely a happy addition to my growing PP family.

This takes me back to the lovely juicy, voluptuous Femme with which I fell in love in the early 70s. I decided to buy a 36ml bottle of this within minutes of trying it. Glorious. My youth in a bottle. Layered with the tiniest speck of amber oud, feel I have the fragrance I have always craved.

I've splashed out on 36ml of this now, as it is a good formulation, and definitely a keeper. I must say, the picture of the bottle does it no justice. It looks SO pretty. I am very happy indeed.

This is a powerhouse of a perfume. It opens with heavy jasmine and ylang ylang, stronger than I remember from the EDP I used to own, but settles into the fragrance I remember after a couple of hours. It lasts and lasts. it was still going strong after 12 hours on me.

This has real warmth and depth, and yet is not heavy at all. It is pretty and interesting, with different flower scents popping out to be noticed from time to time. Even after several hours wear, there are fleeting sweet surprises. Lovely.

This is my favourite perfume at the moment. It's sweetly spicy, and simmers on the skin. It is never overpowering, just inviting.

There is a screechy, sour green note (like privet cuttings) in this which overwhelms anything else in there, and never disappears. I adore fig, and was so looking forward to this. Just horrible. Lesson learnt, I need to buy small bottles first.

This has real depth. It has crunchy saltiness and crisp citrus, and comforting woodiness. A savoury delight. Although undeniably masculine, it is perfect for knocking back overly sweet perfumes. I love to layer scents, and I will be back for this, no doubt. As to it's accuracy to the original, I can't comment, but it seems true to descriptions I have read. Lovely.
