Not tried the original as it is hard to find to sample but definitely in the same vain as Layton with the extra notes identifiable. Great for colder evenings with decent performance.

Zu Anfang muss ich direkt sagen, dass ich das Original nicht kenne. 1878 trage ich heute zum ersten Mal und ich bin verliebt. Was ich direkt zu Anfang wahr nehme ist Oud. Ich bin froh darüber dass es sich nicht um starkes Oud handelt. Kurz danach rieche ich Zimt und etwas leicht süßes. Vom Duftverlauf her werden Oud und Zimt weicher, die Süße nimmt zu (für mich riecht es nach der Süße von Datteln). Weihrauch nehme ich auch irgendwann wahr. Für mich ein genialer Duft: weicher Oud-Zimt Mix mit der Süße von Datteln und einer wundervollen Weihrauch-Note. LOVE LOVE LOVE

Absolutely fantastic and my favourite fragrance from PP so far. This has a very rich and long lasting fragrance. The smell of Oud and Turkish Rose are very powerful and you do NOT need a lot of this. When it settles, it is absolutely beautiful!!! It smells very expensive if that makes sense?! The only warning I would have is to use sparingly and do not get it on your clothes as I would imagine it will stain. 10/10 and definitely worth the extra (and is still cheap!). 👍

This is the loveliest smell ever! Warm, freshly cooked gingerbread, not too sweet, but spicy and just wonderful. Will be wearing this all through the winter.

amazing so similar, especially in the opening that you can barely spot the original. Just very little differences in the drydown but nothing relevant. Maybe it lasts less than the original but considering the price tag who cares. thanks PP

Clean, fresh and Strong oud. Do Not know how the Original smells like but this one is veeery good.
