I was reading up on the fragrance reviews and watching some YouTube reviews. I Purchased the 50ml spray. PP version V the original As I work literally a minute walk from Selfridges in London, I decided to do a comparison. I sprayed a few sprays of PP version on my hand and a few sprays of the original version. I also on some days sprayed the original only and just the PP version on my clothes and pulse points Conclusion: There is no reason to buy the Original as the PP version is definitely longer lasting and has better projection. The notes are very very close the only difference which I actually prefer is that the Honey note is more evident in the PP version. Well done PP you saved me £200 on a single purchase.

It is incredibly hard to judge how similar this is to the original as it is difficult to find the (now discontinued) original TH True Star perfume for a reasonable price for comparison. On first sniff this perfume is very strong but didn’t give me any sort of nostalgia trip (which I was hoping for) However as it mellowed out I could smell elements of the original perfume in this. It is long wearing as I could smell it nearly all day - however it doesn’t suit me at all... Cannot fault PP at all though, a great company who I will use again. (Would love it if they made a dupe of True Star Gold as that perfume is difficult to find also) :)

After falling in love with Santal 33 that was used to scent a hotel I was staying in, I’m so glad I found this! Ordered both the women’s and men’s versions (1477 and 1478) to compare. Both come extremely close so very happy! The 1477 feels a bit more lively and closer to the original whereas the 1478 smells a little more muted which might be suitable for a more masculine feel. Overall very pleased with both scents and the service. Will definitely be buying more.

IDENTICAL to the original. I am so pleased with how it smells exactly like my real bottle buy at a massive fraction of the price. Will not be buying the original again. Amazing that I can purchase my favourite scents and buy a selection of 5 for the price of one from a big name retailer.

Ive not smelled the original and am unlikely to, but I love a good cherry fragrance. this is lovely, rich dark cherry. Ive had to become more selective over which fragrances I sample as it cost me £6 for a 3ml oil, maybe it would be better to sell smaller samples?

I have to agree that this is a bad copy, because there is way too much patchouli. I tested PP side by side with the original, and they smelled nothing alike. I had my wife smell them also well and she thought I was wearing two completely different colognes. In addition, she didn’t like the PP version because it smelled like nothing but herbs—i.e. patchouli. I love PP but I wish this was much better.
