Sorry this is nothing like sandalwood, weak, musky vague, incensey soap. Okay for a room oil burner or toilet. The ‘sandalwood’ indistinguishable,way too synthetic and cant really be called that. Please rename!

Immediate strong scent from bottle, dry down is accurate too, beautiful lavender, velvety smooth well put together, it does fade out after a few hours , whereas original lasts for days and develops and fades better. Very nice and a great saving, would repurchase :)

I am not sure what happen, but this fragrance is different from the first PP version. I have the first PP version labeled “2017 Geevenchy gentleman 1769” and the new version entitled “CE French Softboy 1769” and these two scents are different. The original version has the pear note that is found in Givenchy Gentleman 2017, whereas the second version doesn’t have the pear note. The second version smells like a nice Iris based fragrance, something like a toned-down Dior Homme. They both smell nice, but I don’t know why these two fragrances are different. By the way, I tested both side by side after having them settle for two months. Buyer Beware: You might not get Givenchy Gentleman 2017

Spot on. Bought this and then bought the original and you’d struggle to tell them apart. Almonds, pistachio and tonka are all there, has the same cosy warm sweet dry down and is just as comforting and the real deal. It’s like a hug in an oil. You won’t be disappointed in this one if you like the original

The opening spray is kinda strong but once settled and blends with your skin your left with a lovely long lasting male musk scent
