I have bought several fragrances from PP and loved them all, apart from this one. I took a risk not having tried the original and should have avoided it because of the lack of reviews. Fortunately I bought only a 10ml bottle of the perfume oil. I found the fragrance really harsh and overwhelming, too powdery and sweetly cloying. It is certainly long lasting, I could still smell it even after a shower and a good scrub. This is a full on, in your face fragrance, avoid if you prefer something more subtle.

A friend of mine sent me a 3ml oil of this to try and this is 100% identical to (Original) Hypnotic Poison EDT. This has always been a long time favourite of mine but to get your hands on a vintage one these days can be expensive. What I like about the PP version that it holds on to the top notes for a lot longer than today’s current version of Hypnotic Poison that I own. You get the play doh note lingering for ages before settling down to the sugared almonds in the dry down just like it did in the original one. When I have used up my Hypnotic Poison I will be purchasing this one from PP and will be saving myself a lot of money.

Bought this as well as a lot of others. Recently i have noticed the oils are going bad and the smell changes to something very unpleasant.

Such a high review, my experience is the total opposite. Smells nothing like the original, just a constant soapy smell. My batch is 2020101701

So many on here describing the scent as fresh. I think it is summery but one for the long cold winter nights. There’s something very comforting about the warm smell of this fragrance - I love wearing it to bed it smells that good! I have never smelt the TF one of this and it was a blind buy as I love the excitement of trying something new. I was extremely happy with this!
