This to me is much better than the original Shalimar. I had the original but although I liked it, there was something in it that made me feel nauseas, but the PP version has all the beautiful fragrance which I love, but does not make me feel ill. Maybe the note that made me ill is absent? for whatever reason anyway, I much prefer PP version of this scent.

Violet Blossom is amazing, its such a beautiful fragrance. It reminds me of when I was a kid, the Parma Violet sweets we used to have. there is a very slight musky smell in it too which I love. Well done PP, this is definately on my get-again list.

Ive not tried the original but thought this would be great. at first it was strange but after half an hour it is lovel. I can really smell vanilla and the smell you get from flower garlands they sell in Thailand. love it

A beautiful scent. Contains any excess of violet and offers something haunting and pleasurable which attracts compliments. Lovely.

I reviewed this previously and loved it and unlike some of the other reviewers I find it lasts for ages. I like the scent initially but after a few hours there is something that just smells awful on me and I have to scrub it off. I have the oil and don't know whether I should try the spray instead.
