The high street version is one of my favourites and I was hoping to be able to replenish my stock at PP prices. I am slightly disappointed in that this version smells a little oily. It does soon settle down and in the near future I am going to try the fragrance again, but in a spray.

The Samsaara I bought in 2014 smelled differently and far more pleasant than the newest formulation. The colour of the oil was different as well. I'm not sure what changes were made since, but the old version had a warm, rich exoticness to it that this one lacks. The newer Samsaara is sadly more of a flat, soapy sandalwood scent.

I love the original Fleur Du Male, but found it developed an overwhelming perfumey scent when left standing for a month or two. I much prefer this version. It's a perfect replica of the original fragrance, but without that strong perfumey scent and just generally more pleasant.

The original has more warmth somehow, BUT the PP version is still fabulous. I wouldn't have known if I didn't actually have one on each wrist. So I shall be ordering a PP spray next time instead of the original.

I am absolutely astonished to find that since my last disappointed review, this has been reformulated and it smells so much better and more true to the original! It actually smells like Jasmin Noir! I take off my hat for you, you absolutely deserve those five stars!

Quite a masculine scent , but that's no bad thing! The patchouli & sandalwood linger on me, there's a soft leathery background to it, reminds me of the best times with Dad, so I love it.

Untlike most "western" type fragrance. Not flowery, deep exotic woody, warm smell. First discovered this type of fragrance on a visit to Dubai, have loved it ever since!
